How do we handle summer assignments

This summer, I borrowed leaves from my father’s carebook and every week my girl had a summer assignment to be completed.

My father always worked earlier so we came to the kitchen in the summer to find it for a long time and a printer paper on the kitchen table with our summer task list for the day written in a black Sharpie marker in a distinctive handwriting.

What I remember most is cleaning all the window tracks in our house with a vacuum and toothbrush.

This summer, I did my own round by giving my girls 2-3 tasks each to be done every week and they can finish it whenever they like for a week while they are finished on Saturday night.

This one-time work is above their normal tasks such as making their beds, tidying their rooms, washing their clothes, getting rid of their breakfast dishes, and lowering dishwasher machines.

When I mention this summer job this time on Instagram recently, I got a lot of questions that asked if I would share some ideas for the type of assignment they did.

The following is a list of tasks from several tasks this summer (and as soon as we start doing this, I began to pay attention to ideas for these tasks everywhere. Also, the girls can suggest the task if they see something they pay attention to should be done -I want them to be accustomed to paying attention to things that need to be done):

Ideas for summer assignment list

• Clean the refrigerator (This one is assigned to one of the girls almost every week to keep the refrigerator under control)
• Emptiness/clean ventilation
• Clean the shoe rack in Mom & Dad Cabinets
• Dust fan bar in the bedroom
• Add the putty museum to the bottom of the photo frame and use the level to make sure everything is straight and even
• Clean the hot bathtub filter
• Clean under your bed
• Specific Magic Eraser Wall (High traffic areas such as aisles get so many molds and blisters)
• Clean behind the equipment on the table (Our kitchen is old and does not have a default microwave so sit at the table next to our water fryer)
• Power Washing Recycled Trash Bin
• Clean the backyard warehouse (This is assigned to two girls one week and they do it together)
• Clean the kitchen cabinet
• Clean the bar chair
• Clean and set the bench in our back deck
• Clean the ping pong table on the back deck
• Clean and adjust the spice cupboard
• Clean the art room
• Clean the locker in the mud room
• Wash the terrace pillow (with this machine)
• Empty and adjust the coat cabinet (Including matching gloves/gloves and donating stray)
• Dust dust office rack
• Set the bookshelves in a woman’s room
• Mop the kitchen (We have a home cleanser that comes every week, but the kitchen floor becomes very dirty among them!)
• Wash outdoor carpet in the washing machine and spread it to dry
• Wash the power deck
• Adjust the linen cabinet
• Adjust the game cabinet
• Vacuum under the sofa pillow
