4 books that I’m reading

Some summer feels like I barely read, but so far this summer feels like where I only blow books and I like it!

This is what I read now!

Careless people by Sarah Wynn-Williams
I have been waiting to read this book from the Top Facebook executive for months and finally appeared in my library. I am about 25% of the road and although somewhat interesting, it is not really good. I still hope!

Summer of the Monkeys by Wilson Rawls
This is our family audio book, listen on our journey recently and even though I read it when I was a child and remembering to love him, I didn’t remember almost anything about the plot so it was fun to listen again with my children who really liked it (my 8-year-old child, especially in it). This is the same writer as Where the red fern grows.

Crazy Horse and Custer: Born an enemy by SD Nelson
I intended to read this a few years ago but after our Rushmore Mountain trip last weekend, I took it in Kindle and had read it for the past few days a little at once. Sometimes I think it’s good to read a lot before the trip but also fun to go home and read books about the places and things that you see now make books more meaningful!

How Jenna became my dilemma by Kortney Kiesel
I have been really enjoying the Keisel Kortney for the past six months and I got my money value from my Kindle Unlimited membership with his books. He did a pleasant romance beach reading without open door scenes and this one also became fun!

And this is what my team is reading now!

Analese

Blue sister by Coco Mellors
Kelsey mentioned this one last month which was currently reading and I was very happy when it appeared in my grip! And like Kelsey, I can’t get enough. This story follows three sister who lived separately but gathered a year after their fourth sister died. The three sisters deal with sadness because of losing their sister in a different way, all heartbreaking. This is sad and heavy and charming all in one. I especially like character buildings.

House in the Cerulean Sea by Tj Klune
After several family members blabbering about this one, I decided to try it! And I am very happy I did it – it was a sweet and touching book – not at all as I expected! This is about Linus Baker, a social worker, who lives the life of the rules, solitude, and exactly the zero surprise. It was until he was sent to a remote island to investigate the orphanage with six “dangerous” magical children, including literal antichrist. What he hopes is chaos, but what he finds reversed his world upside down – in the best (and most strange way).

Jennifer

Journal not selected from Emma M. Lion Vol. 6 by Beth Brower. I worked through the Emma M Lion series and had just started the sixth book. This series is really fun and this is the perfect wind down book at the end of the day. Emma’s relationship with Islington, Hawkes and Pierce continues to deepen and even signal romance.

Kristin

Back after this by Linda Holmes
I just read Linda Holmes’s new book and at all like it. This is about the producer of podcasts who are reluctant to bind to host a dating show based on his own love life. The story of the meeting was very unique, funny, and suddenly adorable (there was a very large dog involved). Male leaders are unique in the best way, a little offbeat – not your typical romance heroes, and more fun for that. If you like Evvie Drake, it starts again (what I really do!), This one has the same blend of warmth, intelligence, and heart, with a character that feels real and easy to be crushed.
