This is our last weekend before school lets out and I can hardly believe summer is just around the corner!
The annual Summer Reading Chart (with the cutest jungle theme!) just came out this week and on Monday, the Summer Reading Guide was released – I can’t wait!
In the meantime, here are some of my favorite book deals happening this weekend.

The Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor – audiobook – $3.99
This one is especially good about a young woman who lives in Prague as an art student by day, while at night she travels the world collecting human teeth for the non-human monsters who raised her. Prepare to be completely sucked in by this magical story (then read the rest of the trilogy). (Full review here)

How to Plan for Payback by Melissa Ferguson – audiobook – $3.99
Here’s another one by Melissa Ferguson that I read last spring. She writes clean romances with lots of accidents and cute dialogue – I don’t think her writing is as funny as Sophie Kinsella’s, but it’s definitely a fun romance read. This one is my favorite so far!

The First State by Erin Entrada Kelly – audiobook – $5.99
A friend in my neighborhood invited my 10 year old and I to join a mother/daughter book club and this Newbery winner was the first choice. Set in 1999, this clever coming-of-age story follows 12-year-old Michael, who is already anxious about Y2K, until a mysterious teenager named Ridge arrives claiming to be a time traveler – not to mention he has a book detailing the next 20 years! (This one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make Yoto cards!)

Statistically Speaking by Debbie Johnson – audiobook – $3.99
History teacher Gemma loves facts, statistics and solid order. Maybe because his past contradicts that. He thought about the baby he gave up at 16 every day and even more so now that “Baby” might be his new student. This one surprised me with how much I enjoyed it!

Alone by Megan E. Freeman – audiobook – $2.14
This middle grade survival novel written in verse sounds stunning! Twelve-year-old Maddie wakes up in a nightmare: her town has been mysteriously evacuated, leaving her alone. Without electricity, internet, or help, Maddie must rely on her ingenuity, a loyal Rottweiler named George, and her love of books to survive. Facing natural disasters, looters, and crushing loneliness, Maddie’s resolve is tested as she struggles to endure the most challenging experience of her life. (This one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make Yoto cards!)

Frog & Toad Audio Collection by Arnold Lobel – audiobook – $4.99
Read by the author, this is VERY enjoyable. They have fun music and I feel good every time I hear it in the car or playing at our house. I love every one of these sweet stories and my kids have listened to the entire collection a million times – it’s the audio collection that got my toddler into audiobooks. (This one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make Yoto cards!)

Ramona Quimby Audio Collection – audiobook – $6.99
My girls listen non-stop to every Ramona book. There’s a reason why they’re still so popular, all these years later. We love this audiobook collection for under $7! It’s a steal for 19 hours of audio (8 books in 1). (Plus, it’s a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make Yoto cards!)

Mother-Daughter Murder Night by Nina Simon
This one is described as “Gilmore Girls, but with murder” as a trio of grandmother, mother, and daughter try to solve the murder next door. We read this for the 2025 Everyday Reading Book Club, and it was a fun read (and the audio is phenomenal)!

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
